Utterly surreal, the Fogo Island Studios by Saunders Architects appears like a thing of Hollywood dreams or North Atlantic urban myths. This is truly stunning minimalist design with the finest of backdrops. Todd Saunders was commissioned bij the Shorescast Foundation and the Fogo Island Arts Corporation to design six studios on several locations on Fogo Island. He currently finished this four studio’s as seen on the stunning pictures above.
Shorefast Foundation was established in order to revive the island and attract visitors who asides from their interest in various forms of art, are also looking to enjoy cultural and sustainable tourism.
Todd Saunders, a Newfoundland-born architect, was recruited for the endeavor and his genuine ties to the island, familiarity and daring vision has resulted in these geometrically-shaped studios strategically located around the island to showcase its breathtaking views.
