I love the French graffiti artist Tilt. His new work whoever is really something else, in collaboration with Amaze, he created an unexpected piece of furniture, that is found in a thin line between art and design. Is an all new approach to that kind of furniture, pushing to be an iconic and unique sofa.
Last year, French artist Tilt transformed an unassuming hotel room in Marseille into a spatial funhouse by covering precisely half of the interior with his signature layers of graffiti. The bipolar contrast — heightened by the eerie monochrome white of the room’s other half — created some fascinating visual effects, with Tilt’s spray-painted collage seeming to compress the space of the room by engulfing it in graffiti. The installation beautifully captured the allure of Tilt’s artwork, which explores notions of depth by skillfully overlaying graphics on two-dimensional surfaces.
All in a monochromatic scale the quality can be sensed in the details from the upholstery in padded leather to the clean wood work.
Looking like another graffiti work from one side and another an fantastic piece of furniture that invites you to sit, lay, enjoy.
All the piece was created by master craftsmen from France, and has 752hours of hand work on it…. But it can be said that it was worth every second. But besides the piece you can also check their release video, another piece of art for sure.
