This post is inspired on Desire to Inspire blog. A showcase of highlighting interior designers and decorators, architects, stylists, photographers or their own readers’ homes.
Climb the stairs above the boutique and gallery space to find the bijou guesthouse. Maison Rika is the creation of Ulrika Lundgren, fashion designer and founder of the Rika label. Classic, elegant, warm and with a twist of vintage, the two bedrooms are stylishly comfortable. A perfect base to explore Amsterdam’s “9 streets” area. It shows some excellent examples of how to use art to bring personality into an otherwise basic space. This is a concept renters could use more often to personalize their spaces.
Located in a townhouse in Paraty, Rio de Janeiro, the beach house of the architect Fernanda Marques is very stylish and contemporary taste. Among the pieces selected to give color to the refuge of the architect, she opted for a chair of the Dutch designer Oskar Zieta, a work of Hugo France, in the garden, and Tapestry of Calder sisal and poems by Carlos Drummond de Andrade. A beautiful combination of modern and natural elements, coming together to create the perfect beach house.
Here is a small sample from the really cool portfolio of the architecture and interior design firm of Bia Prado, based in São Paulo Brazil. I could stare at the photo above for hours.
